A tired dog is a happier dog! Our belief in the correlation between exercise and a calmer state of mind enables us to form a great bond with each pet. Like humans, dogs have different personalities, and have specific needs, skills, temperaments, and socialization levels. We are experienced with all ages and life stages including blind, deaf, and geriatric pets. Our time spent with your animals can help release energy or anxiety, potentially Improve basic leash manners and socialization, and, of course, go to the bathroom! For daytime dog walking and potty/yard time we ask for a 2 hour time frame to arrive at your home (i.e. 8-10, 10-12, 11-2, 1230-230, etc.). We offer the below:
20 minute walk or pet sitting visit
30 minute walk or pet sitting visit
45 minute walk or pet sitting visit
1 hour walk or pet sitting visit
Please see our Policies page for hours of operation, etc.
Field Trips These outings allow your dog to exercise in an environment other than your neighborhood, giving them more mental stimulation and the much anticipated drive to our destinations. A Coastal K9 Team member will pick your dog(s) up and take him or her to the field trip destination, where they spend 1 hour of time exercising and/or playing. Some dogs may be eligible to join a small group field trip. Brand new clients, dogs who do not do well in a group setting, or those with social issues will start with private field trips or avoid crowded areas (i.e. a populated narrow hiking trail would not be a good idea for an aggressive dog).
Pet/House Sitting With our Rates & Services, you can choose exactly what you want. Every visit does not have to be the same, nor necessarily requires the same care. More or less time may be needed in the morning, midday, or evening. Determine all the necessary duties that need to be done (i.e. feeding, fresh water, walking, play time/TLC, blind/light rotation, mail/paper retrieval, garbage cans out/in, poop/litter scoop, etc.) and choose an amount of time for us to get it all done in. Our business hours are 7am – 7pm. Morning pet sitting visits have an arrival time of 7-830am. Evening pet sitting visits have an arrival time of 5-630pm. After hours options may include 7-730pm and 8-830pm for an additional $5 and $10, respectively. For animals with daytime or nighttime outdoor access we may ask for a longer arrival time for busy times.
Sleepovers: To provide more companionship for you pet you can request that a Team Member stay the night at your home. He or she will arrive at your home between 6-8pm and leave between 6-8am the next morning. You may wish to add a morning, daytime, or evening walk to a Sleepover service. We ask for a clean place to sleep and will provide our own meals.
